I have twenty years of experience as a yoga and fitness instructor. Currently, I teach at NYU’s 404 Fitness Recreation Center. Since my start teaching basic Hatha Yoga classes at NYU in 1998, I have branched out into other forms of yoga including gentle, restorative, power/Ashtanga, Kundalini, and Vinyasa, in addition to Relaxation and Meditation, and Power Stretch (a Pilates-based class).  Previous experience includes a biweekly class at NYU’s Lafayette Residence Hall.  I have also taught workshops for University personnel in Relaxation and Meditation, and in Posture and Alignment, and have led freshman orientation classes in both Yoga and Pilates. I currently teach a Yoga for Seniors class, incorporating Chair Yoga techniques and Hatha and other yoga standing postures, at the St. Charles Jubilee Seniors Center located in Brooklyn Heights, Brooklyn, New York. Additionally, I have taught corporate yoga classes, and currently teach and coach privately.

In 2012, I embarked on a new path, co-designing the curriculum for, and preparing to teach, classes in a new Certificate in Wellness program at NYU’s School of Professional Studies.  These two classes, Relaxation, Meditation, and Affirmations; and Overview of Mind-Body Techniques comprise both lecture-based theory and in-class practice (using movement, meditation, and breathing practices). These classes were offered 2013 - 2016.

I am now teaching via Zoom. Please feel free to contact me for more about my remote classes.
